Stone River Retirement Community

My wife and I went to Stone River Retirement Community. It was very large. That's my first impression, the vastness. The rooms are super clean. The staff was very knowledgeable, very friendly, and answered all our questions. There was an amazing menu for both lunch and dinner, although we only had lunch. They've got an excellent fitness center, a nice pool, and a multitude of activities with jewelry making, art, and all kinds of different stuff. There was no lack of things to do.

I love this place my grandma loves it here the servers are there to greet you with a smile and are ready to serve you with anything the ice cream is amazing and they have a espresso machine and the concierge is there 24/7 when needed.

The managers at Stone River are making sure this place stays the best it can be, each day. The food is amazing and the staff is kind.

My parents have lived in many communities over the years, Stone River tops them all by far! The property/building is well-maintained and beautiful. The 3 chef-cooked meals a day are absolutely delicious. The managers are very involved and really care about residents and staff. Housekeepers and wait staff are super friendly and hard-working. I can't say one bad thing about this place and my parents love everything about it. I'm so glad my parents chose Stone River for their forever home!!

We loved it the moment we walked in the door. From the warm friendly staff greeting to the huge beautiful fountain with fish, to very clean appearance, it felt like great place to be. the apartments were the perfect size and the food was great

1. Wonderful 2. Very clean 3. extremely friendly residents & staff. 4. SR is independent, not assisted. But we have legacy PT & Visiting Angels on site. 5. Food is usually very good. Always meat & fish or pasta, plus 2 or 3 hot veggies & a homemade soup & salad bar at lunch & dinner. Except Sunday supper. 6. Lots & lots of activities. Sometimes 2 or 3 different choices at the same time. Exercise classes every weekday, bridge 4 times a week, bingo 2 or 3 times a week, painting, coloring, puzzles, card games, scrabble, dominoes, poker, church for Catholics and Protestants, movies every evening, & much more.7. The price seemed high until I realized the inflation going on on the "outside world". It's month to month. But your rate is locked in for one year, no matter how much inflation goes up.

[name removed] was the BEST! I believe she was a big reason our nephew chose Stone River. She was and still is so helpful to us. Room size is ok since meals are prepared downstairs. Amenities like the movie theater, store, salon, make it nice. My nephew doesn't use a lot of those- kind of keeps to himself.

My mother moved into Stone River Bradenton eight months ago and she couldn’t be happier. The facility is clean, the apartments are spacious and the Resort managers set a model for a friendly, caring, and efficient facility. They make each resident feel special. The housekeepers, dining, and kitchen staff, and maintenance personnel reflect the same caring spirit that the managers seek. Stone River in Bradenton recently added ‘Visiting Angels’ for residents needing extra assistance with their daily routine. They have been an awesome addition to the campus. My mother has the peace of mind that she can continue to live independently at Stone River but has help when she knows she needs it. This has been a Godsend to her and her family. Stone River in Bradenton has been a delightful experience for our family and highly recommend Stone River to anyone seeking a unique senior living facility that makes you feel safe, happy, and special

This is an excellent community- it is very clean, the food is delicious, lots of activities going on. The residents are so friendly and welcoming! My parents live here and absolutely LOVE it- you won’t go wrong with Stone River! My kids come along too for visits and love the soft-serve ice cream available 24/7 ;) I love the espresso machine!

Our experience at Stone River Retirement Community has been nothing short of excellent. The facilities are top-notch, well-maintained, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and enriching lifestyle. From the onset of our family's search for a retirement home for our loved one, we sought out a place where he could regain his freedom and dignity as an aging adult with failing health. Upon coming to Stone River Retirement Community, there was something very different about the overall atmosphere. The staff was extremely authentic and very accommodating. Unlike other establishments, there was a genuine concern and interest in our delima, which was exemplified by our first point of contact, to the upper management personnel. Up until we visited Stone River, my brother had not exhibited any reaction to any other place we had gone, yet he appeared to come alive after the visit here at Stone River. He became overly expressive of his delight in the facility's cleanliness, the exceptional dining experience, and the kind and compassionate employees and staff. Etc... It appeared as though we had found John's new home, a place he could find peace!

For senior living, I have found this place very safe and comfortable. I like my 2 bedroom apartment layout and the fact that I have a washer and dryer in my apartment is the best. Also, they will bring meals to my apartment at no charge.

I first came here in response to a car show invitation. - I liked it. my kids thought I should consider it. So each one of them took me to a lot of retirement homes and they all thought Stone River was for me - and it has been !! Lots of activities and I love 3 meals a day - no cooking or cleaning. I am here to STAY !

I have no issues to complain about. The staff and residents are very friendly. The staff responds quickly to our requests. Very clean common areas. We have great amenities, Beautiful decor throughout the building, and Excellent food.

Stone River is an exceptional facility as compared to the others in the Bradenton/Sarasota area. The staff is knowledgeable, professional, and caring. The facility is safe, clean, and well-maintained.

Stone River was amazing from the beginning! Returned my calls immediately and we arranged a visit to the community in Bradenton. It reminded me of the Grand Hotel and the food at the weekend buffet was excellent. Dad decided in 2 days and moved in right away. Very happy family member

So thrilled that we found this wonderful community for Mom!! She moved in nearly a month ago and loves it! When we first toured the place, we felt like it would be the perfect place for Mom...and it IS! Everyone, both residents and staff, has been super friendly and helpful. The facility is beautiful and well-maintained, and we really like that there are so many amenities/services/activities available (dining/food options, full kitchen plus washer & dryer in each spacious apartment, movie theatre, on-site home health, church services/bible studies, etc.) We are so excited that Mom has many new friends and feels very much a part of the Stone River "family!" Adele was our initial contact there and was instrumental in making the move/transition to Stone River very easy, she is a vibrant presence there...always with a smile on her face! Dilia, Ramon, and Angela also have been fabulous and extremely helpful. I highly recommend Stone River Retirement Community!

I have lived here for four and half years and like most places, this one has had its ups and downs however the new concierges are very professional and helpful. The food under Chef Cristian is very good and what makes this place home are the people. The apartments are very nice too. Come see for yourself!

Love it here!

Stone River has been a great place for my mom and my brother to call home! They can be in their apartment to eat breakfast, watch sporting events on TV, and have family and friends come to visit them. They have their privacy when desired, but can go to great meals in the dining room, go to church in the theatre room, and get their nails done in the salon. It wasn’t easy for them to leave their forever home but thanks to the staff, they are both very happy living there!

Stone River Retirement Community is luxury living at its best providing quality independent living. Chef prepared 3 meals daily with other food options available 24/7. Activities and events keep your day busy. Your apartment is even cleaned weekly. Washer and dryer in each apartment. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. On-site managers assure your needs are met.

Best retirement community I have ever seen. They just changed the chef, the food is amazing. Residents are all happy to live there and they seem all so friendly. The holiday decorations were amazing this year. Must check it out.

We liked everything about Stone River Retirement Community, and the people there were very nice. It seems like it's what we're looking for. We were very impressed. They had a very nice dining room, game rooms, arts and crafts room, a little store, and an exercise room. The facility itself was very nice, well maintained, and clean. There was a nice theater with a huge screen TV where they show movies and shows of some sort there. The only thing that they don't have is a pool. They had two-bedroom apartments. However, we just looked at a one-bedroom for now and it seemed very adequate. It had a lot of space, and it was very nice. The staff was very knowledgeable. They recommended that we come back again and try the food.

I have worked here as a independent hair dresser for 4 years.Love the new managers and maintained man. They chef Jason is a great chef as Pam the activity director. I can't say enough good about Stone River. Come and visit us you will fine the residents and staff awesome.

Caring, friendly, interesting staff and residents.Pleasant decor and nice living space. All meals are provided with extras. Exercise room with good equipment. Relevant exercise classes and interest groups. Variety of indoor activities and gatherings.

Every Person working here is so wonderful. Pam is the best person. The kitchen people are wonderful and the cleaning service is wonderful. Don’t need a car they take you where you have to go just put in the ride slips. So Happy I moved here THANK YOU ALL!

Suzanne Stone River Retirement Community was a very nice place. The only thing they didn't have there was a swimming pool. A couple of people I talked to said it was very, very nice there and they love living there. The man that took everybody on tour was very knowledgeable and very nice. He was great. They were extremely helpful. I said hello to people passing in the hall or out the front door, I asked them if they were very happy there and they said, yes, they were. The place was very nice. It's only four years old. It's very well taken care of.

Stone River Retirement Community was amazing. We didn't have an appointment, but we wanted to see if we could get a quick look, and they were so kind. They sat down and they talked to us about my mom's needs there. The residents were having brunch. It was very lively like nice music and great food, and we saw some of that. Everyone was very nice. We loved the tour. It was so beautiful, and it was really nice. They have lots of great activities, and they have a movie theater. If you don't want their lunch, dinner, or breakfast, they have pizza and hamburgers all day that someone will make you at any time, and that was appealing to my mom because she likes to eat light like that instead of the big meals. I loved it; she loved it. Their concierge will pick up your car and bring it to you, so you don't have to worry about parking or anything like that, so they'll help you with that, which we loved. They have medical services there on site. They're really nice people. It's great tour. The room was perfect. Everything was exactly what we expected, and they could not have been more accommodating. They showed us what we were looking for. It was great. They also have room service. Their kitchen staff would deliver food if you wanted it with no extra cost, which was amazing. The shower was senior safe, it had a seat inside, and it had like a walk-in option without the door. But the problem there was the pricing, which was pretty significant. It was more expensive, but I probably would think that it's worth every penny. They have management that are there 24/7 onsite. They have safety alerts in the rooms. If you don't respond by 10:00 or 11:00, they'll come check on you. They have good backup safety where they check on their residents, and they seem to know all the residents very well. It was a really good experience. They invited us back for brunch, so we went for brunch, and the food was amazing. There's soft serve ice cream that you can get anytime, and beautiful coffee service. The kitchen area was amazing. They have a vitamin water machine, which was very good. The coffee was great. They have a soft serve ice cream machine. They have snacks available 24/7, you can go down, and it's just a really nice self-serve option too. I noticed the kids who were cleaning the tables, they all knew them by name, and everyone was socializing with all the staff, too. It was really nice to see. They're a nice group of people that work there. I noticed one of the kitchen staff came out and you could tell he was looking for someone and he found her, and he ran over, and he was like, "Oh Miss Fester, I was looking for you. I just want to let you know we're having pizza and chicken wings tonight. I know it's your favorite," and her whole face lit up. They just had such a little friendship there and they were completely diverse from each other. It was really nice to see. They all knew each other by first names, and they were joking with the staff, so I really felt that was super nice.

This is a very clean and nice modern community for your loved one. The people are very nice here and they have a few activities for the residents.

I'm a fairly new resident and so far, my experience has been totally positive. Everyone is very friendly and supportive. My apartment is lovely and I am very comfortable in my new surroundings. The food is varied and plentiful and the daily salad bar is a healthy alternative. I'm very happy with my decision to move here.

I have lived here two and a half years and cannot imagine living anywhere else. The residents are great and that’s what makes this community . Lots of activities here to keep you busy if you chose.

I stayed for ten days with my parents in Stone River Retirement Community in Bradenton at the end of November. They had been there for eleven months and this was the first time I was able to visit them properly. To say I was impressed is an understatement! I know things are tough with the pandemic - finding help and so on - but honestly I felt that my parents are in the best place they can possibly be, which obviously is very important to all of us. My sister did extensive research before we selected Stone River and after speaking with many of the current residents whilst I was there, I feel it is a great option, particularly because they don't require a massive downpayment and other restrictions that so many other places seem to - but in addition because they genuinely care about the residents AFTER they sign and start living there. The staff were friendly and delightful, and more important, caring. The food was good - not great but that is hard with a cafeteria type situation and many different palates and requirements. Plenty of it and overall I felt more than adequate. The facilities are clean and maintained. The new activities director Pamela is superb and doing a super job keeping everyone entertained if they want to be. My parents' unit is everything they want, and is cleaned once a week. My father did say that it takes a while to get maintenance addressed but that it does get done. The wifi was pretty good although cell service in the actual apartment wasn't great. My parents are happy at Stone River - and that is all that counts. I am delighted to email with anyone who is looking for an honest review. I was very, very impressed with Stone River. The people were very professional and friendly. They answer all your questions very honestly. They're truthful. We toured a few of the apartments there. We also toured the facility on the first floor, the eating facility, and the fitness room. I was flabbergasted at the number of people that are living here that would come over and stop. Some were walking, one was in a wheelchair, and another one with a walker was very charming, came over, put her hand on my shoulder, "How are you? Are you planning to come here? You look like a fine gentleman." I was blown away. The apartments were fantastic and very reasonable. The monthly rates were very reasonable in comparison to some of the other places I've seen. They take care of their people, especially their veterans. I met quite a few people who were Army and Navy veterans. I'm a Navy veteran myself and that pleased me very much. You can have a car there, and they have valet service. You don't have to find a parking spot. You just drop it in the front of the place, and they'll park it for you. If you want a garage, the valet will take it to your garage, lock it up, and come back and give you the key. The tour guide was one of the executives there, and he was wonderful, very thorough, and answered all my questions. He's fantastic. They have a pretty extensive library of fiction. You could sit down, and it's quiet in there. They have a side room where you could congregate with a couple of people. When you have family over, you can sit in there quietly. They have other places as well where you can sit down and make more noise and have fun. There's an exercise room. I was surprised at the number of exercise machines that they had in there that were not ultra-strenuous machines. People who have an average age of 80 years old could easily use just to tone up. They also have yoga classes and a Tai chi class. The eating facility is spectacular. There are different sections of the eating facility where people can go to any time during the day, sit down, have coffee, and talk. Then there's a little bit broader area that's reserved for the main meals, where more people are coming in. It's very, very nicely done. I met the head chef, and he's very nice. The menu is very extensive. They have different things each day. They have three meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have a preparation area, where you could come in in between meals and have a snack or a sandwich. It's very easy to get around. The hallways are very wide and spacious. There were handrails on both sides of the hallways for people who may have a little bit trouble of moving around or walking. They have more than one elevator. The elevators are big too because they're also used when somebody is moving in or moving out. What they do is they put shrouds inside the elevator with blankets on the wall, so that the walls are not damaged. They're used to transport furniture into or out of the apartment. The apartments were prepared for people who were going to be moving in in three months or so. They were so clean. You could almost literally eat out the floor and parts of it are carpeted. The appliances appear new. I really enjoyed it. The parent company that owns Stone River owns a number around the United States at different places. I could leave Stone River for a short of period of time, get on a plane, go to one of their other facilities, and stay in an apartment in the other facility free of charge. It's like being in my own apartment, and that's fantastic. What made me excited is one of them happens to be in South Windsor, Connecticut, which is within 20 minutes of where my extended family lives up in Springfield, Massachusetts.

We toured this community and the tour was very good. They provided a lot of information and we really liked the community.

This is a wonderful place to live. All the people working here are wonderful, caring, kind, and so much more. Can’t wait till this Coronavirus is over. More people would be out and around. Parker at the front desk is wonderful. All the employees here are also wonderful. Thank you all.

Stone River is the best! From the concierges to the servers all the Staff is wonderful and go that extra mile to help with anything and everything. We are very happy here and so thankful to especially Michael, Bill, Cindy and Parker - they are to very best. We have been here 4 months and we sure made the right decision!

Allie and I thank you for your gorgeous Easter banquet. Not only was it a delicious meal, it was accompanied by a delightful Easter-themed dessert, so lovingly and carefully created. And then, were that not enough, there was the Goodie Bag, filled with old time favorites for old folks. And the service—as always—warm, friendly, and caring. You are all terrific, making us feel happy even during this trying time. Stone River has been our home for over two years, and we couldn’t be happier that we made this decision. We also appreciate that you are working so hard to keep us all well and safe during this pandemic.
