LITTLETON, CO – With Colorado's historic wildfire season, the residents of Sky Pointe RetirementResort announced earlier this week they are helping families displaced by wildfires by matching donations made to the community's newly created Big Hearts in Littleton Relief Fund through November 6.
The retirement community has committed to match up to $2,000 total. The goal is to provide $10,000 in relief to help the 8 first responders who lost their homes in Grand Lake.
"Our residents and team rise to the occasion when our community is in need. We all know friends and neighbors affected by the devastating wildfires," said Martha Clampitt, manager at Sky Pointe Retirement Resort. "We are grateful for the support of our residents and community as we endeavor to reach our goal of $10,000 to aid those firefighters' families affected by the wildfires in Colorado."
Anyone who would like to donate a gift of any amount may do so. Sky Pointe will match donations made through November 6, up to $2,000 total. On November 9, Sky Pointe will distribute all funds raised to those 8 families displaced by the wildfires.
