Parkers Bend Retirement Community

Living here is like being at a resort. Three meals a day, activities, being waited on and spoiled by our wonderful staff. It is truly a Resort Lifestyle Community. Not to mention our gorgeous building and grounds.

After our nest became empty, we decided that 3000 sq ft for a couple and their dog was just silly. So, we decided to downsize to something better while I was still able to haul stuff out of the attic and before navigating stairs became painful. And my wife wanted a resort-style lifestyle, with no up-front payment, without the hassles of housecleaning, paying for utilities, or cooking anything. Thank goodness Parkers Bend opened near us - there is nothing remotely like it at the current time. We quickly made the apartment a real home. I love having all my daily meals with my wife in the dining room, and sharing a table with other folks we’ve quickly made friends with (we’ve only been here a few weeks). And watching the Phillies in the lounge with a bunch of the guys… who have invited me to join the weekly poker game. My wife and I are the youngest here, but you’d never know it - the residents are all really friendly and social. OMG - out of space! Can’t recommend highly enough!

After physically visiting 20 Independent Living Communities, we decided to settle at Parker’s Bend. What a great decision. This building is gorgeous. Our appointment is outstanding. Our staff is like family. We are truly spoiled. Come visit us and see that what I’m saying is true.

My husband and I are charter members at Parkers & we are truly loving our experience! We love the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to help us with housekeeping, fun activities, excellent meals, and more. Our favorite thing is the dining experience because of the variety of items available for each service. The best thing is that the chef features my favorite salad--Kale with all the trimmings.

I recently moved to the community because I was lonely and wanted more socialization. This community fits the bill for fun activities. We always have something to do and it's such a relief for me. I love live music and I enjoy it here. I also was able to bring my ukulele group in to play recently and the reception we received was encouraging to my group and me--it really made me feel at home!

My husband and I downsized and moved to Parkers Bend a couple of weeks ago. Last night, after enjoying yet another delish dinner in the dining room, he turned to me and said, "aside from getting married (and having our children), moving here was the best decision we ever made." I couldn't agree more. The staff goes above and beyond for the residents. Everyone we've met has been kind and welcoming. We're thrilled to be here and would highly recommend this community.

My husband and I had been looking for the perfect new home for us for a long time when we came across Parkers. We fell in love with the friendly staff, the all-inclusive amenities like meals, housekeeping, homecare & therapy services. We also were drawn in by the open floor plans, wheelchair accessibility and the fun social and activity programs.

I love the fact that the staff and residents are warm and welcoming. Everyone has a smile on their face and many of them don't mind a benevolent hug or kiss on the cheek. I truly see the value of the community being all-inclusive. I don't drive so having transportation to appointments and an on-site general store, pharmacy, salon, homecare & therapy is essential.

I enjoy the dining experience the most at Parkers Bend. I love all the fresh seafood and variety of items available during each meal service. I'm also thankful for the support of the staff. They are on-hands in their approach to service and that makes my life a lot easier as an older person.

I came to the community in January as a charter member and it was the best decision I could've made. I was very lonely at home and now I'm surrounded by caring and compassionate fellow residents and staff. I enjoy the activities and especially the ones centered around exercises. My favorite class is the dance fitness. I also take advantage of the community bus for travel to outings and shopping. It saves me from trying to find a parking spot, but also there's typically other residents that accompany me.

My husband and I are charter members of Parkers Bend and we love our fellow residents and the staff here! The best thing about the community are the people. They are so friendly and helpful with everyday things that pop up. We especially enjoy the variety of meals, and it doesn't hurt that the chef includes my all-time favorite salad--Kale Salad with all the trimmings.

Friendly staff who care about the residents. Great food and plenty of it! Great accommodations, clean and pleasant environment. Good fitness activities as well as equipment. The dining experiences are healthy and delicious! Great portions and well-stocked snacks for 24/7! Maid service is outstanding and reliable!

Parkers Bend is a great retirement community where Residents get all-inclusive services. I would definitely recommend it to all my friends and family. The activities are out of this world!
