Stone River Retirement Community

For senior living, I have found this place very safe and comfortable. I like my 2 bedroom apartment layout and the fact that I have a washer and dryer in my apartment is the best. Also, they will bring meals to my apartment at no charge.

I first came here in response to a car show invitation. - I liked it. my kids thought I should consider it. So each one of them took me to a lot of retirement homes and they all thought Stone River was for me - and it has been!! Lots of activities and I love 3 meals a day - no cooking or cleaning. I am here to STAY!

Pat & I had the pleasure of staying 3 days at this magnificent retirement resort in Bradenton, Florida. The managers, Angela & Ramon Lago, and their staff made us feel so at home. Food was great. And the residents made us feel welcome. All in all, a very good experience.

Stone River is an exceptional facility as compared to the others in the Bradenton/Sarasota area. The staff is knowledgeable, professional, and caring. The facility is safe, clean, and well-maintained.

I'm Happy and thankful that Angela & Ramon Lago are our managers. They are very helpful and attend to our needs. I enjoy the activity that we have but I'm also looking forward to seeing what new activities Susan has for us.

I have been a resident for 5years, I love everyone. The Mangers are great, the staff is too. I'm in almost all the activity That Stone River provided for which I enjoy very much. Everything here makes your life good.

For a Retirement Senior Living, I found this place to be very safe. I love my 2-bedroom layout, enjoy my laundry room in my apartment and also have a laundry facility in the building. I also like the fact that I can take my food to go.

Everyone at Stone River is wonderful. I love living here, they have so many activities for us to participate. Every other Friday we have a live band for Happy Hour.

The management team is professional and friendly. Any issue is handled immediately. Stone River has many amenities.

In 2020, Stone River became home for me, just before COVID. There have been several managers and chefs over the time, but the managers and chef we have now list at the top. The people that live here are friendly and I really enjoy my life here.

Stone River has been my home for five years and I have loved every one of them. Managers are great, the staff is great and I am happy being here. I have recommended Stone River to my friends and will continue to do so. All of the amenities here make your life good.

I have had nothing but positive dealings with Angela and Ramon, the new managers. We have a new lifestyle director and I am happy with the activities offered for the residents. Overall, I feel out of a 1 to 5 experience at Stone River, I give everything a 5. Everything is great.

I think Stone River Retirement Community was fantastic. The atmosphere was wonderful, inviting, friendly, and upscale but the pool was the biggest issue. They didn't have a pool anywhere. Their food was fantastic. Their menu was excellent beyond anything I have seen. We tried everything, except for the dessert (although I took a bite of from my daughter). I had prime rib and a little flounder. I started with a breakfast of waffles, whipped cream, and strawberries. It was just fantastic and everybody was very, very accommodating and friendly. Angela was a perfect host and always. We spent time with her and she was just very endearing and lovely.

We have found a little pot of gold for our mom. A little bit of Paradise. She is so happy and so are we. We know she is safe and is eating better because there is food available 24/7. The building of people makes mom feel like she belongs to a big family.

I am very happy at Stone River. Clean building, Nice staff, very caring. The new managers are GREAT. The food is for the most part good. Occasionally there are things I don't like but that OK because I can cook in my apartment. We have full kitchens.

I have lived here for four and half years and like most places, this one has had its ups and downs however the new concierges are very professional and helpful. The food under Chef Cristian is very good and what makes this place home are the people. The apartments are very nice too. Come see for yourself!

Love it here!

Stone River has been a great place for my mom and my brother to call home! They can be in their apartment to eat breakfast, watch sporting events on TV, and have family and friends come to visit them. They have their privacy when desired, but can go to great meals in the dining room, go to church in the theatre room, and get their nails done in the salon. It wasn’t easy for them to leave their forever home but thanks to the staff, they are both very happy living there!

Stone River Retirement Community is luxury living at its best providing quality independent living. Chef prepared 3 meals daily with other food options available 24/7. Activities and events keep your day busy. Your apartment is even cleaned weekly. Washer and dryer in each apartment. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. On-site managers assure your needs are met.

Best retirement community I have ever seen. They just changed the chef, the food is amazing. Residents are all happy to live there and they seem all so friendly. The holiday decorations were amazing this year. Must check it out.

We liked everything about Stone River Retirement Community, and the people there were very nice. It seems like it's what we're looking for. We were very impressed. They had a very nice dining room, game rooms, arts and crafts room, a little store, and an exercise room. The facility itself was very nice, well maintained, and clean. There was a nice theater with a huge screen TV where they show movies and shows of some sort there. The only thing that they don't have is a pool. They had two-bedroom apartments. However, we just looked at a one-bedroom for now and it seemed very adequate. It had a lot of space, and it was very nice. The staff was very knowledgeable. They recommended that we come back again and try the food.

I have worked here as a independent hair dresser for 4 years.Love the new managers and maintained man. They chef Jason is a great chef as Pam the activity director. I can't say enough good about Stone River. Come and visit us you will fine the residents and staff awesome.

Caring, friendly, interesting staff and residents.Pleasant decor and nice living space. All meals are provided with extras. Exercise room with good equipment. Relevant exercise classes and interest groups. Variety of indoor activities and gatherings.

Every Person working here is so wonderful. Pam is the best person. The kitchen people are wonderful and the cleaning service is wonderful. Don’t need a car they take you where you have to go just put in the ride slips. So Happy I moved here THANK YOU ALL!

Suzanne Stone River Retirement Community was a very nice place. The only thing they didn't have there was a swimming pool. A couple of people I talked to said it was very, very nice there and they love living there. The man that took everybody on tour was very knowledgeable and very nice. He was great. They were extremely helpful. I said hello to people passing in the hall or out the front door, I asked them if they were very happy there and they said, yes, they were. The place was very nice. It's only four years old. It's very well taken care of.

Stone River Retirement Community was amazing. We didn't have an appointment, but we wanted to see if we could get a quick look, and they were so kind. They sat down and they talked to us about my mom's needs there. The residents were having brunch. It was very lively like nice music and great food, and we saw some of that. Everyone was very nice. We loved the tour. It was so beautiful, and it was really nice. They have lots of great activities, and they have a movie theater. If you don't want their lunch, dinner, or breakfast, they have pizza and hamburgers all day that someone will make you at any time, and that was appealing to my mom because she likes to eat light like that instead of the big meals. I loved it; she loved it. Their concierge will pick up your car and bring it to you, so you don't have to worry about parking or anything like that, so they'll help you with that, which we loved. They have medical services there on site. They're really nice people. It's great tour. The room was perfect. Everything was exactly what we expected, and they could not have been more accommodating. They showed us what we were looking for. It was great. They also have room service. Their kitchen staff would deliver food if you wanted it with no extra cost, which was amazing. The shower was senior safe, it had a seat inside, and it had like a walk-in option without the door. But the problem there was the pricing, which was pretty significant. It was more expensive, but I probably would think that it's worth every penny. They have management that are there 24/7 onsite. They have safety alerts in the rooms. If you don't respond by 10:00 or 11:00, they'll come check on you. They have good backup safety where they check on their residents, and they seem to know all the residents very well. It was a really good experience. They invited us back for brunch, so we went for brunch, and the food was amazing. There's soft serve ice cream that you can get anytime, and beautiful coffee service. The kitchen area was amazing. They have a vitamin water machine, which was very good. The coffee was great. They have a soft serve ice cream machine. They have snacks available 24/7, you can go down, and it's just a really nice self-serve option too. I noticed the kids who were cleaning the tables, they all knew them by name, and everyone was socializing with all the staff, too. It was really nice to see. They're a nice group of people that work there. I noticed one of the kitchen staff came out and you could tell he was looking for someone and he found her, and he ran over, and he was like, "Oh Miss Fester, I was looking for you. I just want to let you know we're having pizza and chicken wings tonight. I know it's your favorite," and her whole face lit up. They just had such a little friendship there and they were completely diverse from each other. It was really nice to see. They all knew each other by first names, and they were joking with the staff, so I really felt that was super nice.

This is a very clean and nice modern community for your loved one. The people are very nice here and they have a few activities for the residents.

I'm a fairly new resident and so far, my experience has been totally positive. Everyone is very friendly and supportive. My apartment is lovely and I am very comfortable in my new surroundings. The food is varied and plentiful and the daily salad bar is a healthy alternative. I'm very happy with my decision to move here.

I have lived here two and a half years and cannot imagine living anywhere else. The residents are great and that’s what makes this community . Lots of activities here to keep you busy if you chose.

I stayed for ten days with my parents in Stone River Retirement Community in Bradenton at the end of November. They had been there for eleven months and this was the first time I was able to visit them properly. To say I was impressed is an understatement! I know things are tough with the pandemic - finding help and so on - but honestly I felt that my parents are in the best place they can possibly be, which obviously is very important to all of us. My sister did extensive research before we selected Stone River and after speaking with many of the current residents whilst I was there, I feel it is a great option, particularly because they don't require a massive downpayment and other restrictions that so many other places seem to - but in addition because they genuinely care about the residents AFTER they sign and start living there. The staff were friendly and delightful, and more important, caring. The food was good - not great but that is hard with a cafeteria type situation and many different palates and requirements. Plenty of it and overall I felt more than adequate. The facilities are clean and maintained. The new activities director Pamela is superb and doing a super job keeping everyone entertained if they want to be. My parents' unit is everything they want, and is cleaned once a week. My father did say that it takes a while to get maintenance addressed but that it does get done. The wifi was pretty good although cell service in the actual apartment wasn't great. My parents are happy at Stone River - and that is all that counts. I am delighted to email with anyone who is looking for an honest review. I would highly recommend this community for your loved one. They have activities like bingo, they have music and happy hour also for the residents.

I was very, very impressed with Stone River. The people were very professional and friendly. They answer all your questions very honestly. They're truthful. We toured a few of the apartments there. We also toured the facility on the first floor, the eating facility, and the fitness room. I was flabbergasted at the number of people that are living here that would come over and stop. Some were walking, one was in a wheelchair, and another one with a walker was very charming, came over, put her hand on my shoulder, "How are you? Are you planning to come here? You look like a fine gentleman." I was blown away. The apartments were fantastic and very reasonable. The monthly rates were very reasonable in comparison to some of the other places I've seen. They take care of their people, especially their veterans. I met quite a few people who were Army and Navy veterans. I'm a Navy veteran myself and that pleased me very much. You can have a car there, and they have valet service. You don't have to find a parking spot. You just drop it in the front of the place, and they'll park it for you. If you want a garage, the valet will take it to your garage, lock it up, and come back and give you the key. The tour guide was one of the executives there, and he was wonderful, very thorough, and answered all my questions. He's fantastic. They have a pretty extensive library of fiction. You could sit down, and it's quiet in there. They have a side room where you could congregate with a couple of people. When you have family over, you can sit in there quietly. They have other places as well where you can sit down and make more noise and have fun. There's an exercise room. I was surprised at the number of exercise machines that they had in there that were not ultra-strenuous machines. People who have an average age of 80 years old could easily use just to tone up. They also have yoga classes and a Tai chi class. The eating facility is spectacular. There are different sections of the eating facility where people can go to any time during the day, sit down, have coffee, and talk. Then there's a little bit broader area that's reserved for the main meals, where more people are coming in. It's very, very nicely done. I met the head chef, and he's very nice. The menu is very extensive. They have different things each day. They have three meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have a preparation area, where you could come in in between meals and have a snack or a sandwich. It's very easy to get around. The hallways are very wide and spacious. There were handrails on both sides of the hallways for people who may have a little bit trouble of moving around or walking. They have more than one elevator. The elevators are big too because they're also used when somebody is moving in or moving out. What they do is they put shrouds inside the elevator with blankets on the wall, so that the walls are not damaged. They're used to transport furniture into or out of the apartment. The apartments were prepared for people who were going to be moving in in three months or so. They were so clean. You could almost literally eat out the floor and parts of it are carpeted. The appliances appear new. I really enjoyed it. The parent company that owns Stone River owns a number around the United States at different places. I could leave Stone River for a short of period of time, get on a plane, go to one of their other facilities, and stay in an apartment in the other facility free of charge. It's like being in my own apartment, and that's fantastic. What made me excited is one of them happens to be in South Windsor, Connecticut, which is within 20 minutes of where my extended family lives up in Springfield, Massachusetts.

We toured this community and the tour was very good. They provided a lot of information and we really liked the community.

This is a wonderful place to live. All the people working here are wonderful, caring, kind, and so much more. Can’t wait till this Coronavirus is over. More people would be out and around. Parker at the front desk is wonderful. All the employees here are also wonderful. Thank you all.

Stone River is the best! From the concierges to the servers all the Staff is wonderful and go that extra mile to help with anything and everything. We are very happy here and so thankful to especially Michael, Bill, Cindy and Parker - they are to very best. We have been here 4 months and we sure made the right decision!

Allie and I thank you for your gorgeous Easter banquet. Not only was it a delicious meal, it was accompanied by a delightful Easter-themed dessert, so lovingly and carefully created. And then, were that not enough, there was the Goodie Bag, filled with old time favorites for old folks. And the service—as always—warm, friendly, and caring. You are all terrific, making us feel happy even during this trying time. Stone River has been our home for over two years, and we couldn’t be happier that we made this decision. We also appreciate that you are working so hard to keep us all well and safe during this pandemic.
