Last week, with a contingent of Home Office support team members, we celebrated the winners of the 7th annual Ron Herron Service from the Heart Award with teams and residents at Emerald Oaks, Oak Park, Cahaba Ridge, Towne Center, and Riverstone. The celebrations were centered on the origin and meaning of the award as the spotlight shined in each community on the 2018 winners. These winners truly exemplify the core values of RLC: honesty, respect, kindness and compassion, and service excellence.
The award is named for Ron Herron, who was a Manager at RLC from 2003 through 2011, until his death from cancer. Even throughout his treatment, he continued to look for every opportunity to serve the residents in his community. We at RLC deeply respect, honor, and appreciate the wonderful things that Ron meant to our residents and to the company. He and his wife Annette epitomized the attitude and character that we look for in every team member. The Ron Herron Service from the Heart Award memorializes Ron's contribution to our family and carries forward his encouraging spirit. The award is given each year to recognize employees who have provided truly outstanding service to our residents through the course of the year, honoring team members who exemplify in every way the spirit and approach that was demonstrated by Ron himself.
