Vickery Rose Retirement Resort
What we like the most about Vickery Rose is that the community is friendly, pretty and easy to get around. We also like that the managers live there. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far

Minimal staff turnover. Small enough that the staff knows all the residents. The residents also look out for each other.

Vickery Rose Retirement Community was friendly and welcoming. The manager was very kind and open. The person at the front desk was also very kind. They gave me a calendar of activities, and it seemed like they had a variety of things to do each day that involved the mind, body, and spirit. They had physical activities, mental activities, social activities, game rooms, and a theater. There were lots of opportunities for self care, like getting your hair done, your feet done, or getting therapy. The apartments were good size. They were bigger than some I've seen. I could see myself living there.

I was very excited when they built Vickery Rose close to my home. I thought the convenience of having my Mom closer by would be great, but I did not expect to like this place so much. The people there are always eager to help. The facilities are immaculate, and my Mom has been very happy there. Good size rooms. Great common areas. I highly recommend Vickery Rose

Everything is going very good for me. The people make the facility of course and both the residents and the staff have been amazing and so welcoming. They do their best to keep us busy but if we do not want to participate in the activities that is fine too and there is no pressure. There are all sorts of clubs such as book clubs, sewing clubs, bible study, etc. that I am a part of. The facility is very clean and we have housekeeping that comes in whenever we choose and they do a great job. The food is very good, especially the Sunday brunch which they really go all out on. We had been to quite a few places to look around and I really think Vickery Rose had the best value especially for all of the amenities that are offered. I would definitely recommend them to others looking.

I visited Vickery Rose Retirement Community; my mother has already moved in. It's awesome. The staff, the food, the environment, it's awesome. She's thriving. It's like a resort; it's like a hotel that you just live at. The staff is very attentive, very friendly, very welcoming, and very efficient. I go there all the time to have lunch and dinner with her, and the food is awesome. Right now, she's at karaoke, and then she's going to bingo. They have things all the time. The managers live onsite, and they are part of a lot of the activities as well. Her room is awesome. She has an 800-square foot apartment. It's the same size as her place that I moved her out of as far as her apartment, so it's really good.

The facility is superb! I had a list of places that i visited on my mom's behalf, and Vickery Rose by far was the best one. The food is very good, the staff is friendly, efficient and kind, the activities and the services they offer are awesome. We moved my mom in 3 weeks ago, and she is thriving under their care.

Vickery Rose feels like a cruise ship on land, it is expensive but it's like walking into an upscale hotel. Everything is clean, bright, and smells fresh. It is easily accessible to all residents and visitors. The dining service is great, you can get in and get out. There are unlimited meals so you don't have to worry about missing a mealtime, there offer a huge variety and if there is something you do not like they will make you something different. Our loved one is really enjoying the activities and loves his full kitchen in the apartment. I could even see myself living here.

My MIL has lived at Vickery Rose for a couple of years now. The staff has seen her through the death of her husband, and the changes associated with slowly advancing Parkinson’s disease, and they’ve done so with remarkable, caring grace. She loves the staff and community at Vickery Rose, feeling a sense of home and belonging.
We adore her and are thankful to everyone at Vickery Rose for their care and concern.

Vickery Rose Retirement Resort has provided a peace of mind for my family knowing that my mom and dad are in a caring community. The staff is phenomenal and they are always reaching out to encourage my parents to lead as active a lifestyle as possible. My dad just passed and my family is comforted knowing my mom is not alone, but surrounded by caring people who know her. I knew in my gut it was the right place for mom and dad and I have not had any regrets in moving them here 2 years ago.

We visited Vickery Rose Retirement Community. It was very impressive. It was just too expensive for me. The marketing tour guide, Anthony, was very welcoming, enthusiastic, helpful, and courteous. The facility was very well laid out. It was very large. It had a good design, and it seemed to be convenient. Some residents were watching a movie, exercising, eating, and some were sitting out front.

Vickery Rose Retirement Community was clean and superb. The person was very attentive. It was a nice tour and a nice facility. It's for people 55 and older. I like that all the meals and everything were included in one price. The accommodations and the amenities were on point. The pricing wasn't for me though. I'm just looking for some temporary housing because I'm in the process of buying a townhouse or a condo. That was going to just be a temporary spot and the pricing was a little bit for my budget. I'm a young 60 and a lot of the residents there were a little older, which I didn't mind, but right now I prefer to have a standalone condo. It's not ruled out, so my goal, if I can't get anything moving into a condo or townhouse by then, I might pick them up and just rent until I find something. It's a little pricier than what I wanted to pay, but it was good pricing. It's reasonable for what they were offering. They included the meals, the Internet, the housekeeping services, and all the amenities. Everybody was nice and my grandson loved it. Most places 55 and older discourage grandkids from visiting, but here, they welcome the grandkids and even had an arcade room, which was very impressive. They're friendlier to grandkids. They had the ice cream machine and popcorn machine for the kids. That was nice that they incorporated that in that facility. Being in a pandemic and limited to their grandkids for a year, most seniors want to be able to entertain their grandkids on a weekend, to visit and spend the night, and that place was very accommodating. What keeps grandparents young is having their grandkids around. They had a chef, and it's almost like a cruise line setup. It's state-of-the-art. I went to the dining room and they had everything laid out. I was impressed with that. It's almost like a cruise line without taking a cruise, and it's better than a cruise. I can go and feel like I'm on a cruise ship but not floating on the water. That's what I felt when I was there like I was on an extended vacation type of thing on one of the five-star cruise lines.

I've toured too many communities to count and I am tired. I have found Vickery Rose to be the BEST!! By FAR! Stunning and impressive- like a Cruise! I am looking for my mom. On the tour, I met so many residents out and about playing Canasta or Bridge while others played Ping Pong. Social activities are important to my mom so to see people out of their rooms was a good sign that they do a lot here. Some residents talked with me and said they have lived at Vickery for 2 years since they've opened and are very happy. I've discussed this with my mom and she is thrilled and excited and will be getting things in order to make a move to Vickery Rose based on what I told her. She can't wait to see and experience all of what the community offers! Wonderful place with Happy residents!

We are very pleased my mother-in-law chose Vickery Rose as her new home. The location is great, the facility is very attractive and clean, the staff is friendly and the residents are very welcoming. With all the onsite amenities, activities, proximity to shopping and transportation is available if she decides to use it made the decision-making easy.

Vickery Rose was beautiful. They have a pretty little waterfall right in the center of the atrium. It was a lovely place. The person who assisted me was super. The concept of the room is about the same as it is anywhere. It is one common living area plus one bedroom and a small kitchen area. It did come with a washer and dryer, which was a plus. They have a room where you can get together to play cards or play games. They have a movie theater, where they show movies on a regular basis. They have outside entertainment that comes in during the year. They have a nice library and a computer connection room. They have different levels of meals. They have one area cafeteria style and another area that is fine dining, where you sit down at a table with tablecloths. They have an open bar, where you can just go and get food anytime you want (mostly sandwiches). The food was good. I had lunch there. They have an exercise room. They have garages available, which was a plus for me.

Vickery Rose Retirement Resort hits 5 stars on all cylinders! My mother-in-law just moved in and her life has been absolutely transformed! She is actively engaged in all of their varied activities, has made wonderful friends, loves the food & flex dining options, the flexibility of transportation, and of course the amazing on-site managers: Anthony and Leo! This place has exceeded our expectations! I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a top-notch all inclusive place to live. 😀

Recently met with Mary Kate (senior living consultant) regarding a friend moving to Vickery Rose, and I’ve never met such an upbeat professional young lady in my life. She spent so much time telling me all about how Vickery Rose was the perfect place for my friend. Of course she sold us on this lovely place, and she’s truly an asset to this impressive senior living facility.

They just got a new manager who is fantastic. They've really gone out of their way to help me get my loved one acclimated. I really like the activities. They do a lot of happy hours, and they have fitness. The food is good, but not quite as good as when we first moved in. The other residents seem to be very friendly, and my loved one is always eating with somebody new. I really like that all the meals are included. They also have some extra care available on-site.

The experience at Vickery Rose Retirement was just terrible. Communication was lacking and management had a lot lacking due to major communication issues. Additionally, those issues lead to a lack of services - like my place not being cleaned for weeks after I moved in. Also, the washer and dryer that I was promised wasn't delivered for many weeks (well over a month!) after moving in. There were many other communication issues.

I have lived here for one week, coming from another senior community, and I am so happy to be part of this fabulous community. The food is wonderful, the staff so friendly, warm and helpful. My apartment is lovely and I feel truly at home. My previous encounter with senior living proved almost disasterous and I was very unhappy. Vickery Rose is now home and I'm excited for all the new things to come.

Food is a disaster. New chief so far is proving no better than the last one. Big part of the problem is food quality. Ever since reaching near capacity, with no need for good reviews the quality has gone away. Before being full there were nice gatherings (pre covid) with table settings and great food. The settings and the food started falling and has not quit . To bad it was originally a nice 5 star place.

My siblings and I are so delighted with Mary Kate and how she walked my mom and us through everything for our mom. Mom has not moved in yet...that's next week, but the experience so far could not be better in elevating mom's comfort level for moving, finding the perfect activities and forming friendships. I will leave another review after mom's been there fora bit but so far, so good! Thanks Mary Kate and team!

You don't really want me to be honest. I wish you had been. Read the documents we residents saw when we signed up. Would you want your sister to be the concierge/valet/etc.? what did you mean when you said we had valet parking? what if concierge was attending someone who had just fallen? where is the valet service? and the food? you could not keep the best chef in Atlanta area. why? He was very kind and discreet, and never said anything bad about RLC management. God bless him. what about staffing? never enough.... what about all the dead landscaping... I sent photos but most of the gardens are still just mulch - someone picked up all the dead plants and bushes, but they were never replaced. Now VR is depending on the garden club to improve the surroundings? and so many apartments were rented out to people who are not able to be "independent". that left it up to us residents to help move chairs, carry trays, etc., because we are kindhearted people, and would not let someone remain in an unsafe situation when no staff available to help a resident get to a table with his/her food. also, unsafe walkways to patio doors... you can check out my emails and photos. and someone, someday, might fall trying to get into their own patio doors, because of the unresolved drainage problems - not just at my apartment location. I do not think "management" would want their own mom or dad to live here. and the staff we have are overworked. Jacque, Kathleen, Johnny, and the kitchen/serving crew should get huge bonuses for how hard they work to keep residents happy. the concierge(s) is/are overworked too. so, I tried all I could to get "management" to understand the situations here, and the petition signed by many residents finally got someone's attention, so we have a chef with a tall hat here, trying to redeem the terrible food situation. (what did RLC do with all the money saved on food and staff and napkins and, etc. etc. etc.?)... therefore, I am leaving. I am grateful for some of the great staff that is trying so hard, and thankful that I made some wonderful friends here. but I am tired of excuses....

Vickery Rose Retirement Community is less of a campus, but they've got lots of activities. They had 24-hour food available. It's a lovely place. They allowed dogs on the lower level, but they didn't have a room available at the time. My son really liked it. The staff was delightful, and the inside of the facility was absolutely lovely. I would've enjoyed living there. They've got a library, an exercise room, and a nice theater. The staff described it as like a cruise ship, and they're pet friendly.
