All 5's, it has been a great experience! The size of the apartments is as to be expected. There is plenty of activities to do and the theatre is wonderful. The residents are very friendly and the staff is helpful, it is a great community.

Change is not easy. Moving from a small town to a city is not easy. Moving out of your family home is not easy. What was easy was the decision to choose Walnut Grove Retirement Community. We had done a ton of research and visited a lot of communities and all were fine places, but when my parents walked into the lobby at Walnut Grove and were greeted by Amber, it was a done deal! Both my parents commented that they had a good feeling the moment they walked in. The apartment, the food, the amenities, and the activities are all great, like many other places, but what makes Walnut Grove stand out is the staff! Second to none in our opinion. It is hard to adequately put into words, it is one of those things where you have to experience it to understand. Walnut Grove staff, thanks for treating my parents with respect, honor and love. You guys are the best!

As a visitor who was able to come in and spend the day working with and for the residents, I found this location to be welcoming, open, and a wonderful place to be! The residents spoke highly of their experiences living here and were hungry for the people who were there to spend extra time with them. The staff is friendly and open to all the needs of the residents and visitors. My only complaint is that I don't live close enough to come and visit more often!

I started working with Amber last year needing to move my loved one to Omaha. Amber was incredibly professional and helped me talk to my relative, answer questions, and alleviate concerns regarding such a big change. We moved her in December and have been so pleased with the condition of her apt. At move-in, the help we have received when asking questions, the food and activity offering is second to none and the rest of the staff are all so caring and nice. I would recommend this retirement community above anything else I toured in Omaha and believe it's second to none. Thankful we made this choice for the first phase of the transition from living at home.

This review is long overdue. For almost five years, my mother has been a happy resident of Omaha’s Walnut Grove Retirement Community. My mother, and the entire family, are amazed at this wonderful facility and everything the community offers. I cannot say enough good things about the staff … the warm and welcoming managers, activity director, dining room staff, housekeeping and maintenance are all first-class. Many activities are offered, but no resident is ever pressured to participate. My mother will sometimes join the activities, and at other times she simply enjoys quiet time in her apartment. Her unit is comfortable and spacious. There is a full kitchen and laundry facilities so this truly is independent living at its finest. I appreciate Walnut Grove’s philosophy of having residents age in place and, if necessary, connecting residents to agencies that can provide any needed assistance. My mother has taken advantage of these services with wonderful results. Walnut Grove has been a blessing for my mother, and the family is assured that she is happy and safe in a place that she loves. I visit my mother several times a week and truly feel like I have made 50 new friends! Not once have I encountered a resident who has been anything but happy and thankful to be living here. By the way, this retirement community is an amazing value considering all the amenities it provides (all meals and utilities are included). You cannot go wrong joining this community!

The apartments at Walnut Grove were really nice, and they had lots of extra things. They had four meals a day. Somebody would clean your apartment twice a month. There were emergency contacts in case you needed medical attention. They had their own little pharmacy and exercise room. They had a calendar of events. They had transportation if you needed it. The lady that gave us the tour seemed really knowledgeable about the community and its activities. She explained to us about the meals. She also explained that they had a program where if you traveled around the United States, there were other communities you could stay at in different cities.

There are so many ways for her to interact with others without having to leave the facility yet she has her privacy when needed. The meals and dining as well as the activities get a 5+. It's just a fantastic community. My mom is so happy.

Everyone here in Walnut Grove is very friendly. It's a very clean place. The food is very good and housekeeping is very good. We are in a two-bedroom. It's small, but it's comfortable. For the residents, the dining area is very large. It's airy and comfortable, too. The grounds are very well-kept. There's lots of activities like bingo, cards, trips to take you shopping, chair yoga, and morning exercises. They also have a weight room here and a salon that's priced according to the community.

We really like that this community is in the same neighborhood that our loved one previously lived it so she was very familiar with it. So far she has had no complaints when it comes to the meals being served, and we would recommend this community to other families.

Great Community! The food is good, the temperature just needs to be improved. I am comfortable and the community is very pleasant. Some of the activities available are bingo, family feud night, corn hole, movies, church services, card games, puzzles, and more for the residents to participate in. There is a beauty shop on site.

We are very pleased with Walnut Grove. Everybody here from the people who gave us the initial tour to everyone she sees on a daily basis is fantastic and has welcomed her with open arms. They have incorporated her into anything and everything. They have soft serve ice cream that is available all day long and my mother-in-law absolutely loves that. We would definitely recommend them to others looking.

I feel very blessed to be able to serve as a leader in Walnut Grove. Walnut Grove will be celebrating their 20th Anniversary coming February 2022. Although I have only been at Walnut Grove for a very short time in its history, I know that this community is very special because of residents and staff. A community is one that through all their experiences still comes together day after day. A very unique lifestyle is enjoyed at Walnut Grove!

We have chosen Walnut Grove. My mom isn't in there yet. I liked it very much. I thought that the people were very friendly and the service that they gave to their clients was really good. When I talked to some of the clients that live there, they spoke very highly of it, which made it friendly for me to try to put my mom there because she's been in her home for 65 years, so I wanted a place that I knew would reach out. Another thing I liked was the mentoring. They said they're going to attach a mentor with my mom that will take her down to breakfast, lunch, and dinner and things like that, so they kind of introduced her to the people that are living there. I thought that was nice. The people were very friendly. The staff was very efficient in answering questions. I also thought that the price was very reasonable compared to other institutions that I visited. The rooms are very nice. They're private rooms. I did not try the food, but I was excited that they offer three meals a day whereas many places did not do that. The dining area was very nice. They have lots of activities, and that was another reason I liked it. There's a theater and they bring in entertainment. Those were areas that I was impressed with. It's kind of new, and it looks good. They provide housekeeping once a week for the residents, so that's good as well. I met one of the housekeepers on my mom's floor, and she was very, very outgoing and friendly. They showed us the workout room and hairdressing. We were very excited that she has a place to get her hair done.

When my mom recently fell in her bedroom at 2 AM. The managers Glen and Lori came to her rescue immediately and were very kind and reassuring . I am so glad she is there!
