Julian Woods

We had two places under evaluation, one of which was Julian Woods. Julian Woods was brand new and was far more luxurious than the other facility. Additionally, the people at Julian Woods were far friendlier and caring than those at the other location. [name removed] was the tour director, and she is first-class at her job. My sister moved in three months ago and is very happy, with many positive things to say about the facility, the people, and their level of care, friendliness, and helpfulness. She could not be happier with the facility.

My sister-in-law has only been there a couple of months, and she loves it. That's. All I know at this point is that she's happy we're happy.

Excellent food, lots of activities, a movie theater, top-notch staff, and a brand-new, clean facility.

Julian Woods Retirement is an excellent choice. What we like most about this community is the staff. They are great, caring, and pay attention to details. Based on our experience so far, we would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

We selected this place as it appeared to be the best run newest facility. We do not regret our decision. Everyone on the staff has impressed me with knowing us quickly, and always striving to keep our stay here comfortable.

The staff is very caring and work hard to make it a good place to live. I get three meals a day cooked by two chefs that they hired from restaurants down in Asheville that were closed from the storm. People are courteous and not invasive in your life, but very pleasant. There are over 100 people here but it doesn’t seem crowded because people aren’t out of their room at the same time unless it’s a gathering for a movie which is nightly, or an event that’s put on for our entertainment, such as music.

Such a beautiful facility and the staff is so kind and respectful! I would absolutely recommend this place for your loved ones.

Julian Woods is a great community filled with great people, a lot of fun activities and amazing food. The employees try their best to help residents feel at home and it's really nice to see residents bonding with one another creating their own friendships and getting involved in clubs and special activities. The residents really thrive being involved in this community.

Such a lovely place! My mother and sister attended the Julian Woods Grand Opening a few weeks ago and they had a great experience. The brand new building speaks for itself, the food was amazing, the staff and residents were all so happy and it’s apparent that Julian Woods Retirement Community is top notch! The Senior Living Consultant, Martha Evans is amazing and has already invited my mother to come back for a private tour and lunch. We love following their events on Facebook as well, and the residents are always having so much fun!

This community as a whole exceeds any expectations you may hold! The entire area is clean and spotless as well as welcoming for anyone who may walk in the door! As you walk in, you are greeted with open arms and the feeling of being in paradise. The dining room is the best in my opinion. Spotless and clean, great food, and overall great employees. The dining supervisor, Sonya, greets everyone and makes sure you have everything you need! The overall experience is very much worth the 5 star.

Everything we were hoping for and more. Amazing staff who are attentive to every detail, a talented chef who prepares excellent food and plenty of it, and tons of social interaction with new friends. There are fun and informative events daily. You really don’t have to leave the campus, but if you do it is conveniently located near restaurants, shopping, and cultural opportunities. A huge thumbs up!

The good things here are new, good quality apartments and excellent food. Three healthy meals a day plus 24-hour snack options, special events, and ample menu choices. Good gym equipment and the in-house office of 33-Health provide superior physical therapy at additional cost. Intelligent activities and field trips Controlled size: because the facility is locked between other developments, this one can not expand, assuring it does not become too large and impersonal. Adjacent to Julian Park, so there’s nearby green space, a pretty little lake, and a useful “lung” in an urban area. Convenient proximity to shopping, good restaurants, medical care, transportation corridors, and the airport.

It's brand new. There's no buy-in and month-month rental; leave if you don't like it with 30 days' notice. Everything is included in your rent. All utilities including cable, three meals a day and the food is delicious. Light housekeeping is done on a weekly basis. There's a fitness center, a library, a craft room, a lounge, a theater. One and two-bedroom apartments are still available There are several three-bedroom apartments but I think those are already rented. Pets are allowed though dogs are only allowed in first-floor apartments I would definitely encourage anyone to visit and see if this is the right place for you or your loved ones.

To our dear Glenna and Greg, Albany, Ellen, Martha, Blake, Sonya, David, and all of those behind-the-scene staffers - You are to be highly commended for your extraordinary efforts to make the recent Julian Woods grand opening such a delight for all of us Residents. Not only was it fabulous but it was SPECTACULAR. Without a doubt Resort Lifestyle Communities is very satisfied and most proud of its own Julian Woods. We had two sets of visitors to the grand opening: our Minister of Music at Fletcher First Baptist as well as our Sunday school teacher and his lovely wife, and a sweet, loving couple from our old stomping grounds at Ballantree Dr., Asheville. They not only enjoyed touring this beautiful facility, but the wonderful camaraderie from visitors and residents alike. They continue commenting on the beautiful festivities. Julian Woods is set to become one of the most popular retirement facilities in this area and we are very fortunate to be able to call this our home. We’ve not met a stranger here yet as both men and women are very special people who we can certainly, with abundant pride, call our new family. My friends moved in here a couple of months ago and I’ve been to visit them at least twice a week as they settle in. This is a lovely welcoming facility with prime rib brunches on Sundays, lots of interesting activities, and the most helpful staff ever. My friends are positive about leaving their longtime home and state- they are thriving with great food and socialization.

This community is both a country comfort (the beautiful trees, the birds singing ... and the casual comfortable environment ... and also, clearly a state-of-the-art environment) The residents are refreshingly engaged with life and activity .. many engaging activities. From chess to billiards ( from 8 ball to 9 ball .. singles or partners ... it's on 😊) a modest game room .. with perhaps shuffleboard in the future. A most complimentary environment for comfortable.. engaging people .. a nice spot 🌄

I am a CNA and just visited with my Client. Julian Woods is by far the most beautiful community and everyone was so kind. The apartments are huge, the food looks amazing, I loved the water pond in the lobby, and it is not more expensive than what he pays now, but a world of difference between the 2 places.

We toured Julian Woods Retirement Community and it's brand new. They've done an excellent job of providing all of the support. It's an attractive place. We didn't choose Julian Woods because it's a little further away from Hendersonville, which we wanted to be in. They have very nice 24-hour day food. We looked at two bedrooms and they were perfectly adequate. We toured with the manager and she was very cordial and we got along fine.
