Robinwood was a nice and luxurious place. They had a movie theater, a hair salon, an art room, a dining room, and a library. They covered the price of your utilities, internet, cable, and all the meals.

What I love the most about the Robinwood Retirement Resort is the inclusive atmosphere it has, which really makes it feel like everyone there is a part of a family. I also love the dining hall which is a great place for socialization aspects.
Lisa
What we really like about the community is the food selection etc. and the activity opportunities were great. I think they experienced a change in staff personalities when the managers changed. I know that is a tough role to fill, but a very important one. Really have no complaints overall about her time there.

I went to look at Robinwood. I really liked the layout that they had for the apartments that were detached from the regular home. They had a separate garage, which I really liked. They had all the amenities offered, like cooking, meals, and transportation if needed. So there were a lot of different things and extras that I appreciated. The tour guide was excellent and thorough. She showed us the informational section, where if we needed something toward our insurance or whatever we could get for Medicare, she was willing to do that. She explained and showed us the convenience of people getting food, sitting at tables, or preparing food according to their diet. They also had options to go and get food and take it to their room after meals, so that was good.

I've visited Robinwood for a tour. They had a lot of activities, the dining room area was nice and they had a lot of selections for the food. Everybody seemed very helpful and friendly, and we're going back to try their food. The facility was kept up nicely and everything was really clean. They had Bible studies and movie nights, and they plan outings. So it seemed like they had a lot going on.

We will be moving into Robinwood. We chose them because they're the nicest people and they had the nicest accommodations. It's just a perfect living condition for retired people who have spouses who might need some handicap accessibility. The facilities were excellent. It's laid out like a hotel resort. It is more of a resort kind of community than an apartment kind of community. The staff was excellent. Everybody's friendly and accommodating. Some apartments have courtyard patios, but they have outside gardens for people to sit around. Everything is onsite, cafeteria-style dining, exercise room, and beauty and barber salon. They have cable TV, internet service, and cleaning service. It's just an all-inclusive community.

My sister has moved into Robinwood. They have a lot of activities going on, and she likes to be busy, so I think that'll work out well. Her room has a big living room and kitchen combination, a nice-sized bedroom, and a master bath. There are two big closets. It's very nice. They have bingo, and she loves bingo. They do exercises, they have chair volleyball, and they have live music every Friday afternoon. They have a movie theater on location, that shows a movie twice a day at 3 and then again at 7. They have a bunch of card games like bridge and dominoes and all those things. Two or three things are going on every day. I was able to have a meal there, and the food was wonderful. Plus, they get a nice choice. They have a choice of two types of meats with vegetables. You go through it like a buffet type, and you could always get a cold sandwich, like a ham sandwich or turkey or something like that, or salad with any meal or instead of a meal. Everybody is so nice and aims to please. They're just very willing to help, so that's good.

We toured Robinwood. We went in the building and out of the building. We went and saw the cottages. We like everything about it. The apartments looked OK. They have different sizes. They have one- and two-bedrooms, and it's according to where they are in the building. It is a three-story building. The apartments look to be very nice, but average, like the furnishings and the refrigerators. The cabinets are all maple, which is so outdated, but that's fine. They can't keep up with the trends anyway, which is very nice. It's just somewhere you wouldn't mind living. The food is good. I love the dining area. It's big, spacious, and very nice. I really like the staff who gave us the tour. They have an art room, an exercise room, and a small country store that basically is very minimum, like what you might need there if you run out. They have a movie theater and an auditorium for church. There's another room for church, and I think it seats about 60 to 75 people there. I would refer to their cottages as duplexes. They're two bedrooms, one bath, a living room, a kitchen, and a two-car garage. Then, right next to it, connected with a wall between you, is the other side of another two-bedroom, and it's identical. I like those really well. If it's raining, storming, or you can't get up or you're sick, they will deliver the food to you. If you call them and let them know, they'll bring it to you. But for several days, they may or may not make it every day. That's a choice you make when you rent or lease a cottage.

We saw Robinwood yesterday. We liked it. We enjoyed the tour they gave us. It's very nice. Everyone was very cordial. We looked around, and the rooms were very nice. Everything was so clean. There were lots of activities. They have a movie theater. They offer three meals a day and that was nice. The shower was easy to access and get out of. It was very nice. It's an independent living, but with extra care. I spoke with several residents, and they said they loved it. The staff was very knowledgeable. She showed us everything she thought we were interested in. She showed us the model apartment and the ones that were available and everything about the dining hall. She's very nice. In general, when you walk in the front doors, Robinwood looks like you're walking more into a nice hotel. To me, they got everything really of independent living you would need. You have a button just in case you fall, you have that. Just in case you have a medical emergency, they have health care. They're right there on the spot, the healthcare part. It's in a nice suburb. There are restaurants, grocery stores, and pharmacies like Walgreen and CVS.

My mother-in-law has been at Robinwood for one year. The facility is very clean, the food very good, and the management and staff are engaged and thoughtful. It is like a cruise ship experience. I highly recommend Robinwood.

My mother-in-law has lived at Robinwood in Bartlett for one year now. The facility is very clean, the food is exceptional, the management and staff are engaged and thoughtful. Activities and outings are varied: there is something for everyone. Residents and guests feel like they are on a small cruise ship (minus the saltwater). I wish I could give Robinwood Retirement Resort more than 5 stars.

my mom loves Robinwood Retirement Resort and she plans on staying here forever.

We had a wonderful tour experience of Robinwood Retirement Resort. The place looked wonderful. They had activities going on, the food was being set out, and so it would have been a perfect place. Ariana was very welcoming, very nice, and very helpful in explaining the choices that they had and amenities. They have a phenomenal menu with a broad range of very tasty meals available for 24 hours. When I was there, they were just setting up for an activity and quite a few people were getting ready for it. The dining room was very nice, clean, and spacious. There's also a movie theater where they had played various movies, a beautiful chapel, a pharmacy, a general store, and a credit union that could be visited by the residents.
Carla
We looked at Sherrill Hills. It's the Rolls Royce of independent living. It's stunning; maybe that's where I'll go some time. It's on the high end but an amazing facility. We looked at the whole facility. They had food service there, but we did not sample the food. I only met the person who directed our tour. They were having a large activity in a large auditorium, and we probably saw sixty or seventy other residents attending the activity. We were invited to attend the activity with them. It was like a virtual trip to Hawaii. It's not a room; it's a luxury residence. It was nicer than the others. It's a great place.
Richard
I just like the people at Robinwood. They're very friendly, outgoing, and helpful. The apartments are very spacious. It was also spotless, very clean. It's nearby restaurants and grocery stores. They had a gym, a salon, and a small store where you can buy things.
Lynda
We liked everything about Robinwood. The prices were reasonable, and the place was very clean and very nice. They had separate cottages as well as apartments. The apartments were very nice. The separate homes were duplexes, and they were very nice as well. The staff that we met was very accommodating. They had pretty much everything except the swimming pool. It's homey, and the dining area was more like a restaurant.

I am currently living at Robinwood, and it's a beautiful place. I think it is a great place in many ways. We have many wonderful people here, the facilities are good, and the people are good. The room is great. I was in a more expensive room, but I moved down to one that was a little lower priced, and this helped me a great deal. It is a good thing that we can come and go as we wish. We have three meals a day, and the food is good. I have fallen a couple of times, but I press a button and people come to pick me up, put me on my feet, and help me. We need this type of help. If someone is interested, they could just come in, take a look for themselves, and make their own determination. We do not have a swimming pool, but we have an exercise room, and we have many activities. They have a great library, but I have my own library with me -- and I just gave away over 300 books. It's a great place. We have different kinds of activities where we participate with each other.
Johnny
Overall it has been a good experience with Robinwood Retirement Resort. I would tell others just to understand that it is independent living. If your loved one who is living here needs additional assistance, you will have to out source it. The staff are not licensed and cannot even help someone up if someone falls on the floor, they would have to call paramedics. Residents are provided with an emergency necklace if they do need to use that. They do all have full kitchens in the units, but also provide 3 meals a day. They also have transportation but you have to schedule it. I would absolutely recommend them to others who are looking.
Robinwood Resident
We love living. It gives us the time to do the things we enjoy. We no longer have spend time worry about maintaining a house, cooking or any other the other everyday things associated with home ownership. The staff here is wonderful. They have definitely made the health and welfare of the residents their number one priority. When we first moved in we were skeptical about the all inclusive pricing, but it is true. The only other items we have to pay for are renters insurance, car insurance and maintainence and our cell phones. There are as many or as few activities as you want to participate in. Friday’s we have a happy hour often with live entertainment. We know we made the right decision.
