LINCOLN, Neb. – Residents of Savannah Pines Retirement Community and employees from Resort Lifestyle Communities (RLC) Home Office are coming together to support Voices of Hope, a Lincoln nonprofit that serves survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
Through a community-wide donation drive, residents and team members have collected hygiene products and personal care items—essential supplies that are often in high demand by individuals and families seeking support through Voices of Hope.
The donated items will be assembled into care packages during a special community service event on Monday, June 22, at 3:30 p.m. at Savannah Pines Retirement Community. Residents and employees will work side-by-side to package donations while enjoying an afternoon of bingo and fellowship.
The initiative reflects a shared commitment to giving back and strengthening the Lincoln community.
"Kindness and compassion are core values at Resort Lifestyle Communities, so it's important for us to find ways to support organizations making a meaningful difference in people's lives," said Kiara Guadron, one of the RLC Home Office employees helping coordinate the effort. "What makes this event especially meaningful is partnering with our residents, who are always eager to help others. Their generosity and commitment to serving the community inspire us every day."
While Resort Lifestyle Communities is known for providing independent retirement living, many residents remain deeply engaged in volunteerism and charitable efforts throughout the year, including food drives, blood donation events, and other community outreach initiatives.
By supporting Voices of Hope, residents and team members hope to provide practical assistance and encouragement to individuals facing difficult circumstances while raising awareness of the organization's important work in the Lincoln area.
